As a writer of dark poetry and short fiction, Nicole Castle is drawn to what lurks in the shadows. She has been published in the following: Wayne Literary Review; Gem Studded Tongues and Burning Dogs of Love; and Erie Tales: 666 with her short story, “Standing Watch on a Hot Summer Night”. She won third place for Short Fiction at the 2007 World Horror Convention and second place for Best Flash Fiction at Killer Con in 2012. Currently, she teaches writing and literature at Macomb Community College in southeastern Michigan and hosts a literary reading series on its campus called WORDcraft Wednesdays. She is a current member of the Great Lakes Association of Horror Writers.
